Book Club

Welcome to our Book Club! If you are looking for inspiration for your next reading group meeting — you've come to the right place.

Every month we'll suggest a book which we think makes for a great book club read and offer up a few questions to kick-start discussion. Plus, order over 5 copies of any of our Book Club reads and you'll get a 20% discount and free p&p!

Each month we'll also invite you to ask the featured author any questions about the book, and send us your reviews. We'll post all your comments (there's a freebie in it for the star review!) together with the author Q&A the following month.

If you're part of any reading group, don't worry – we'd still love you to share your views with us and the other A&B readers, and if you think you might want to start your own group check out our Tips for Starting a Book Club.

September Book Club Choice

Cover of One Foot Wrong

One Foot Wrong by Sofie Laguna

Nominated for the prestigious literary prizes, One Foot Wrong is unlike any book you will have read before. Seen through the eyes of a child, Hester - a girl of few words, verbally and physically abused by her parents, confined to her house, her only friends inanimate objects: Tree, Axe, Spoon - the story follows her unique perspective of the world. Then one day her parents are forced to send her to school and she discovers a whole new world outside the one she knew.
Challenging the boundaries of right and wrong, sanity and madness, friendship, love and justice, Hester’s story is often dark and harrowing, but the impact of her distinctive voice and way of seeing the world is beautiful and inspiring.

Order over 5 copies of the book and get 20% off. Buy the books and submit promocode OFW20 in your shopping basket to get the discount.
