I turned 24 at the start of October and had some wonderful celebrations and presents with my family and friends. My older brother lives in Berlin so his gift took a little longer to arrive. But oh it was worth the wait. I arrived home late on Friday to find a large, very heavy parcel waiting on the dining room table. Underneath several layers of bubble wrap was a black, square hard case. Having visited my brother in Berlin last summer and seen what was dotted around his apartment, I knew what the gift was:

A typewriter! I remember fawning over the beautiful typewriters in his room and now I have one of my own. Not only is it gorgeous, it’s functional. All I need now is some thick lustrous paper and I can begin an alternative type of correspondence!
