RUTH WILSON read her first Jane Austen novel in 1947 and in 2021 completedher PhD on reading and teaching Jane Austen. Previously, she taught Englishand worked on oral history projects including one with Holocaust survivors. Sheencourages her four children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildrento read widely, wisely and well. She and her husband are a married couple wholive apart together.
