Happy Birthday Eeyore!
I spent last weekend scouring Winnie-the-Pooh books looking for catchy phrases to use for a friend’s baby shower, her nursery theme being that of the AA Milne classic.
There was a fair amount to choose from, not all of it quite right for writing on the little hunny pot party favours, but I still spent a very lovely afternoon thinking about his whimsical little pearls. That bear of supposedly little brain (and his friends) had some valid points…

It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like “What about lunch?
You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.
If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.

Then today I came across this article – read here. Apparently today is Eeyore’s 140th birthday – which is Very Old Indeed. I don’t think he’d be a fan of publishing: ‘This writing business. Pencils and what-not. Over-rated, if you ask me. Silly stuff. Nothing in it’ and it was tricky to find a quote from him that wasn’t too morose. But I have no patience with a downbeat blog so I did find this which is definitely worth taking note of:
A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes all the difference.
Thank you, Eeyore. And a very happy birthday to you!
