If your knowledge of Scandinavian crime fiction is limited to Stieg Larsson and Jo Nesbø, then a new guide, Nordic Noir, by crime fiction expert Barry Forshaw (editor of Crime Time and reviewer for countless publications including the Independent and The Good Book Guide), looks to change all that.

Whilst we regularly mention books from other publishers in this blog, I must admit we have a vested interest in this particular release from Oldcastle Books. Why? Because it, unsurprisingly, flags up our wonderful Swedish author Kjell Eriksson. (I know this because I had to send the author some questions for a little Q&A that features in the book.)

So, if you plan to use Forshaw’s upcoming book (out in March) to swat up on your Nordic crime, get a little head-start and begin by reading Eriksson’s award-winning Ann Lindell series…
