WINNERS OF THE 2009 PRIME MINISTER’S AWARD ANNOUNCED
The hugely acclaimed novel One Foot Wrong, by Sofia Laguna is pipped to the award post by Nam Le’s The Boat.
The Prime Minister’s Literary Awards is one of Australia’s prestigious awards, celebrating the contribution of Australian literature to the nation’s cultural and intellectual life.
We are proud to say that our astoundingly unique novel One Foot Wrong, by Sofia Laguna was amongst the seven novels shortlisted for the Fiction award. The winner has now been announced and she was pipped to the winning post by Nam Le and his novel The Boat.
Two books shared the Non-Fiction award: House of Exile: The Life and Times of Heinrich Mann and Nelly Kroeger-Mann, by Evelyn Juers and Drawing the Global Colour Line by Marilyn Lake and Henry Reynolds
